Let us introduce ourselves here.
Two of us, Takashi and Hiroki, first met at Nagoya School for the Blind in 1997. Although both belonged to its musical band club at that time, we were separate in different bands. Therefore, we hardly talked with each other. It was one year later when we together started to play our original songs.
I became a leader of the club in 1998 and one day I asked Takashi if he could write a lyrics for my song. A few days later, he brought his lyrics to me. That was "Never Ending Love Story."
At first, he wondered how to sing because he had never sung an original song before. However, he seemed to find his own singing style after he cut and tried. I guess his singing style fits my songs well, which means his sweety voice fits well with mellow melody of my songs.
TAKASHI(vocalist)
He used to sing a Japanese enka as a child, influenced by his grandmother. He had no music background when in a elementary school, but he got interested in pop music during his junior high school days. From then on, he started to have voice training at a music school and he had an excellent result for a karaoke competition at the age of 15. It was his first time that he had tried writing a lyrics by himself when he was in a high school. While the sketchbook was off, he sometimes sang a song with playing the guitar on the most famous street in Nagoya.
HIROKI(pianist)
He dropped out of a YAMAHA music school within a day as kindergarten. So-called the Euro beat attracted him during his latter elementary school days. Tetsuya Komuro, who was a leader of a band "TM Network," motivated him to learn how to play the keyboards. At first, he tried to copy TM Network, but he noticed that it was almost impossible to copy their songs with a cheap keyboards. That's why, he started to focus on composing an original song. No musical activity was seen for a while after he dropped out of high school. A lot of original songs came up at the age of 19 and he started writing his original lyrics. He started to learn how to play the piano at the same time. Nowdays, he sometimes sings a song playing the piano.
